SCC TOURNAMENT

Well done to all for making the SCC Rugby Academy’s The Fry Group 7s and Touch Tournament 2017 our best to date!

There was some magnificent play by our teams – we had the most number of kids playing rugby and touch ever over one weekend!

The SCC Rugby Academy had some great results with the following teams through to the Cup Finals which will be played next weekend at the SCC7s :

U5 – SCC Cheetahs
U8 – SCC Lions
U10 – SCC Lions
U13 – SCC Lions
U15 – SCC Lions
Touch U10 – SCC Lions
Touch U12 – SCC Lions

As in our previous tournaments, the finals for each age group will be held during the SCC7s on the Padang (Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th November 2017).

Details of playing times and arrangements for entry into the ground (for players and one parent) will be sent out this week. Tickets for extra adults need to be bought, this ticket allows all day access to the tournament.

For those without children playing please come and support your club and the SCC7s tournament. Early bird Tickets are $20 for entry into Friday afternoon, all day Saturday and Sunday!  image1__22_

Team Sizes

All teams must be capped at 14 players

U5-U17 – 7 aside
Girls Touch – max 6 aside

Pitch Sizes

U5-U8 – all games will be played on a quarter pitch
U9-U13 – all games will be played on a half pitch
U14-U17 – games will be played on a full pitch

Girls Touch – all games will be played on a half pitch

Game Duration

U5-U10 – 7 minutes per game
U11-U17 – 10 minutes per game

Girls Touch U10-U14  – 15 minutes per game

Girls Touch U18 – 20 minutes per game

Parking

Please note that parking at the Padang is limited to SCC members only. Public parking can be found at Parliament House, under the National Gallery, Raffles City or the Esplanade.

Sunday 29th October – the area around the Padang is a car free zone until midday on Sunday. Taxis can only drop off near Parliament House however no cars will be allowed in from 6:30AM.

Tickets for the Cup Finals

Please note that the ticketing arrangement for the finals at the Padang: players and one parent will once again gain entry to the grounds for free, however any additional family members will need to buy special discounted day tickets that will be made available to them. These tickets will allow them to watch a full day of rugby sevens at a discounted rate. Discounted tickets can be bought online here.

F&B

Food and beverage will be on sale from the Singapore Cricket Club throughout the tournament at the F&B tent. In addition, ice water will be available pitch side for players to refill their bottles.
