Congratulations to the SCC Rugby Academy coaches who played for the Singapore National team last weekend, taking a win over Thailand 43-17.
Nicklaus Yau (U13 & U14), Declan Martens (U17), and Mikey Oliver (U17) made their debut appearances. Mikey scored a try, and Marah Ishraf (U17 & Girls Contact) scored 4 conversions.

On Thursday 2nd May we will be hosting some of the Western Force players at our first Thursday rugby skills session for this term.
Strength and Conditioning, Attack, Defence and Unit Specific skills will be addressed by the Western Force players and our own SCC coaches.
All parents and SCC coaches are welcome to join and learn.
Open to SCC Rugby Academy rugby players U9 and up, and the Girls Touch players.

SCC RUGBY ACADEMY CURRY AND QUIZ NIGHT – SATURDAY 11th MAY
Save the date – Saturday 11th May is the SCC Rugby Academy Curry and Quiz Night! Join us for a night of fun, and meet the other parents and the coaches who make the Academy.
Tickets are $80 each and can be purchased at the club house at Dempsey at training on Saturday mornings or by email. Just drop Sarah an email at info@sccrugbyacademy.com and let her know how many tickets you would like and whether you would like to pay by bank transfer or TeamSnap. We can then send you your e-tickets and add the payment due to your child’s account on TeamSnap.

We are starting a Girls Contact group during Saturday morning training for girls from U10 to U18. The squad will be coached by the Captain of the Singapore Nationals 7s team, Marah Ishraf, who brings a wealth of experience with him. Beginners and experienced players are welcome!
Let’s put the glamour into girls contact rugby! The first session will be held at SCC Dempsey Playing Fields, 71G Loewen Road on Saturday May 18th 9.15 AM

TRAINING FEES DUE FOR 2nd TERM 2019
Training fees for Term 2 are now due. To check how much you owe for your child, select their team under My Teams on the dashboard page, and then the Payments tab to see their listing.
Please note that on your TeamSnap “home page”, it will show that you have no fees due for “Registration” – you paid this when your child first joined the Academy.
You need to select your child’s team (under My Teams), and then the Payments tab, to find this term’s Training Fees.
LATE PAYMENT CHARGES
Please note that unfortunately we have had to increase the late payment charge as the number of late payers has been increasing each term. A 15% charge will now be added to all unpaid fees after the 4th week of term – for this term, the late fee will come into effect on Friday 24th May 2019.
PAYPAL
We now accept PayPal through the TeamSnap application. Just go to the Payments tab on your child’s profile, and you will find the fee amount due and a link for PayPal if you would like to use this service. Please note that the PayPal link can only be found in the web version of TeamSnap, and does not show on the app version.

THE FRY GROUP WORKSHOP: WILL DRAFTING AND THE ROLE OF THE EXECUTOR
Anyone who is domiciled in the UK, or owns property in the UK should consider having a UK Will in place to ensure their well-earned wealth passes to those they wish to pass to.
In this workshop Steve Wright, Operations Manager, Executor and Trustee Company at The Fry Group, will cover the key aspects you should consider with regards to a Will. He will discuss where you should have a Will and what happens if you don’t have one in place.
This presentation will be useful for anyone who already has a UK Will in place and is looking for reassurance that all is in order, or for those that have not yet completed a Will.
