Newsletter – Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th June 2017 – Week 7


Good luck to our U10 through to U15 who are playing in the Plate and Cup finals on Saturday 3rd June. The teams will be playing the following games:

U10 – Plate Final

U11 – Plate Final

U12 – Plate Final

U14 – Plate Final

U15 – Cup Final

The U13 also made it through to the Plate Final, however Centaurs have conceded the game, and the win has been awarded to SCC.

The U8 and U9 will be participating in the JRCS Mini Tournament which is being held at Centaurs, Turf City.


Due to the JRCS League and Tournament on Saturday, there will be no training this Saturday for the U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U14 and U15.


We are pleased to announce the SCC Rugby Academy 7s tournament will be held the weekend of 28th and 29th October 2017, with the finals on the the next weekend (4th and 5th November) during the adult SCC 7s tournament.


Do you like organizing and want to get involved in the Academy? We are looking for someone who would like to head the Tournament Committee, in addition to a number of other volunteers to help out on the committee.

The Head of the Tournament Committee would coordinate with the Academy, the tournament providers and the participating rugby clubs, with the help of the tournament committee members. The Head of the Tournament Committee would also sit on the organizing committee for the SCC Rugby 7s as a representative for the Academy.

There are still a number of children who have fees due for training, and other items, on TeamSnap. Please check the Payment tab on your child’s TeamSnap profile if you are unsure if you have any fees due.

The amount of fees due are noted on the Payment tab under your child’s TeamSnap profile. Please go to your child’s TeamSnap profile and select the Payments tab.

Please note that on your TeamSnap “home page”, it will show that you have no fees due for “Registration” – you paid this when your child first joined the Academy. You need to select your child’s profile, and then the Payments tab, to find this term’s Training Fees.


We now accept PayPal through the TeamSnap application. Just go to the Payments tab on your child’s profile, and you will find the fee amount due and a link for PayPal if you would like to use this service. The link to PayPal only shows on the web version of TeamSnap, and unfortunately does not work on the mobile app.

The Singapore Cricket Club are holding 3 summer holiday sports camps on the following dates for children aged 6 to 14 years.

26th – 30th June 2017

24th – 28th July 2017

31st July – 4th August 2017

There will be professional coaches in attendance covering 8 sports – rugby, basketball, hockey, football, cricket, netball, tennis and squash.

The price of each camp is $550 (SCC members receive a 10% discount. There is also a sibling discount).

The New Zealand Rugby Experience coaches are coming back to Singapore for the fifth consecutive year to run their annual Camp at the Centaurs Sports Park, Turf City from Monday 10th July to Friday 14th July 2017. Five days of action and excitement spent outdoors in learning how to play fun, expansive and all-inclusive rugby. The coaches have all played senior club or provincial rugby within New Zealand and in some cases, international rugby.

The Early Bird prices are in place till 12th June. To ensure your child gets to spend a week outdoors with rugby coaches who bring a wealth of knowledge from their playing days as well as their current experience of coaching, please return the completed forms by post (see details on the registration form) OR scan and email to:
