TRAINING THIS WEEKEND

There is no training on Saturday morning for the U8 and U9 who are taking part in the next JRCS Mini Tournament at UWC East from 12:30PM to 3:30PM.

The U6 and U7 will be hosting Centaurs at training on Saturday morning at Dempsey for a few friendly games of touch.

Training will be on as normal for all other squads on Saturday and Sunday.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

It seems that the SCC Rugby Academy is receiving some poor reviews on Google, which we believe (and hope!) are being made by children from competitor clubs. Unfortunately we are not able to remove these reviews. The only way we can improve our rating therefore, is to ask our parents and players to provide positive reviews for us.

All you need to do is follow this link and give the SCC Rugby Academy a rating – Google Review

BOOT SWAP

We will be holding another boot swap at training this Saturday 25th May. If you have any boots at home that no longer fit, just bring them in and swap them for a pair that do! Any boots that are left over will be given to charity.

Please don’t forget to give the boots a clean before you bring them down, and also tie the laces together to make it easier for them to remain a pair!

INAUGURAL GIRLS CONTACT TRAINING SESSION

We had a great turnout last Saturday for our inaugural Girls Contact training session with Coaches Ishraf, Declan and Felix! The girls had a lot of fun, and we look forward to even more girls signing up this Saturday!

There’s some great training lined up for this Saturday’s session, with two of the Academy’s head coaches, Su Amran and Henri Terblanche, adding their expertise. Su currently coaches the Singapore National 7s team, and Henri was the strength and conditioning coach for the South African super rugby team, The Bulls, before moving to Singapore.

Girls Contact train from 9:15AM to 11:00AM every Saturday morning at Dempsey. All girls are welcome to come along and have a go, whether they are existing Academy members or not. If you have any friends who would like to come down and join us, please let them know they would be most welcome. Their parents just need to drop by the club house at Dempsey on Saturday morning to sign a waiver form.

TRAINING FEES – DEADLINE FOR PAYMENT FRIDAY 24th MAY

Firstly we would like to thank all those parents who have already paid training fees.

However there are still many children whose training fees have not been paid for this term. Please note that the deadline for fees is this Friday 24th May. Any unpaid fees after this date will incur a 15% late payment charge, and we will issue a list of those who have not paid.

If you are not sure whether you have paid for your fees or not, please follow the instructions below to find the fees due for your child on TeamSnap.

To check how much you owe for your child:

  1. Select their team under My Teams on the dashboard/home page
  2. On your child’s Team page, select the Payments tab to see your chid’s listing.
  3. On the web version of TeamSnap, there is a PayPay link to help you pay any fees due. Please note that the PayPal link does not show on the mobile app version of TeamSnap.

Please note that on your TeamSnap “home page”, it will show that you have no fees due for “Registration” – you paid this when your child first joined the Academy.

LATE PAYMENT CHARGES

Please note that unfortunately we have had to increase the late payment charge as the number of late payers has been increasing each term. A 15% charge will now be added to all unpaid fees after the 4th week of term – for this term, the late fee will come into effect on Friday 24th May 2019.

PAYPAL

We now accept PayPal through the TeamSnap application. Just go to the Payments tab on your child’s profile, and you will find the fee amount due and a link for PayPal if you would like to use this service. Please note that the PayPal link can only be found in the web version of TeamSnap, and does not show on the app version.

Alternatively, you can also pay by bank transfer. Details for a bank transfer are as follows:

Account Name: The Rugby Academy Ltd

Account No: 0339049654

Bank Name: DBS

Branch Code: 033

Swift Code: DBSSSGSG

Please reference your child’s name and age group on the payment.

We do not accept payment of training fees by cheque or cash.

LEARN RUGBY THE KIWI WAY!

When rugby is life, you can never get enough!

Centaurs are happy to announce that the New Zealand Rugby Experience (NZRE) – our week-long camp at Centaurs in the summer holidays – will be happening again in 2019.

Monday 8 to Friday 12 July 2019

NZRE is the Centaurs-endorsed summer rugby camp in Singapore. It’s five days of fun, rugby, friendship and the haka, run by Martin Stanley and his team (who have collective rugby knowledge of 100+ years!).

NZRE is open to players from all clubs and schools, boys and girls born 2001 to 2013. Beginners are welcome! More information and sign up can be found on Centaurs website.
