THE FRY GROUP WEBINAR: RETURNING TO THE UK? TAX ESSENTIALS YOU NEED TO KNOW

For most expats there comes a point when it’s time to decide – do we stay overseas or head back to the UK? And when’s the right time to make that move?

The UK tax system is notoriously complex and can be overwhelming when thrown into the mix of an international move. However, by carefully managing the timing of your return and planning ahead you should find yourself in the most tax-efficient position, helping make your transition back as smooth as possible.

In this webinar, Peter Webb, Head of Tax Advisory at The Fry Group, will explain the important tax and financial considerations returning expats should be aware of. He’ll also clarify why good planning is necessary and detail how to limit your exposure to UK tax and protect your wealth.

What can I learn from this webinar?

  • Key considerations before moving back to the UK
  • The trigger points that make you UK resident for tax purposes
  • Common mistakes that can expose you to tax – even before you arrive home
  • Some tax-efficient investment strategies you can adopt once in the UK

There will be plenty of opportunity for Q&A. Please submit any questions you would like answered to events@thefrygroup.co.uk

Kindly register for your preferred session for the webinar below. You will then be sent a confirmation email with all the webinar details.

Thursday 27 April 2023

Session 1: UK 6am / Europe 7am / Dubai 9am / Asia 1pm

Session 2: UK 11am / Europe 12pm / Dubai 2pm / Asia 6pm

Please feel free to forward this invitation to friends, colleagues or family members if you feel it would be of interest to them. We look forward to you joining the webinar.

FANTASTIC ACHIEVEMENTS FROM OUR FORMER PLAYERS

Congratulations to two former SCC Rugby Academy players Will Plessis (Scarlets) and Orson James (Exeter Chiefs) who were selected for the Wales U19 against Italy last week

Jamie Riach and Ross Smart both started with the Academy when it was launched. Jamie and Ross now play in Edinburgh and were both selected to represent Edinburgh and the East of Scotland in the Under 16 ‘1872’ match against Glasgow at Scotstoun at the weekend.

The 2 photos below show Jamie and Ross on Sunday at Scotstoun, Glasgow, and the 2 of them back in 2013 with the SCC. Jamie is on the right, Ross is on the left.

Don’t forget that light snacks are available for sale at the F&B Hut at Dempsey. You will now be able to buy muffins, sandwiches and hot dogs to go with your coffee! Please note that you now pay by PayNow and cash, or you can sign on your account if you are a Singapore Cricket Club member.

KIT

If your team is taking part in games or tournaments, we would kindly ask that you ensure that your child is wearing their full and up-to-date kit. They must wear the latest playing jersey/touch tops which have our sponsors latest logos on them. Please keep the old tops with the old logos just for training.

We need to honour our sponsors contribution and support by wearing the tops that they have sponsored for us.
