The Atlas Foundation Lifting people out of poverty, disease and illiteracy across the globe. The Atlas Foundation was founded by Jason Leonard and other rugby and corporate heavyweights to bring support to people around the world through the power of rugby. It works to improve people’s lives regardless of age, gender, sexuality, race or religion. The Atlas Foundation has a global network of Rugby Champions to support grassroots projects that use rugby to improve the lives of some of the poorest people on earth. www.theatlasfoundation.org.uk The Atlas Foundation will be working with The Nicholson Family Memorial Trust to deliver local projects within Singapore and across Asia. Anita Nicholson and her rugby-mad children Alex and Annabel were killed in the Sri Lanka bombings on Easter Sunday 2019. Ben, Anita’s husband, who survived the bombings himself, has set up the memorial fund as a fitting tribute to his wonderful family that were tragically taken from him far too early. Rugby has been an important and significant part of their family life, driven in particular by Alex and Annabel’s love of the game. The projects will be chosen based on the types of projects they feel Anita herself would have wanted to support.

THE FRY GROUP TAX WORKSHOP: INHERITANCE TAX AND SUCCESSION PLANNING

There are countless reasons why it can be tempting not to think about inheritance tax and to consider it a problem for another day. Living far from the UK and hopefully being in good health, can mean that we are more focused on growing our wealth, rather than planning to protect it on death.

Over the last 10 years, we have seen property prices rise and nil rate bands stay static. This had led to larger portions of individuals estates exposed to inheritance tax. In this workshop we will review options available to reduce overall IHT exposure.

Our speaker Anna Warren, Head of Tax Asia will discuss ways to identify inheritance tax exposure and will touch on some sensitive, workable solutions to protect estates.
