TRAINING THIS WEEKEND
Training is on as normal for all squads this weekend.
We are aware of the concern over the 2019-nCov/Wuhan Coronavirus and the directives of MOE, and various international schools.
In light of this and the interests of the well-being of our rugby community, our current policy is the following (effective immediately):
1) you or a family member have travelled to mainland China in the past 14 days, and/or
2) you have had visitors from mainland China staying with/visiting you over the past 14 days
we ask that you self-impose a 14-day quarantine effective from the date of leaving China/your guests leaving and do not attend training within this quarantine period.
(3) We additionally ask that you take precautions to monitor your own and your child’s health prior to attending training. If unwell, do not attend training and seek appropriate medical attention.
These three precautions apply to all players, coaches, parents and staff.
You can refer to the Leave of Absence for Schools from MOE to reference the quarantine period recommendations.
We will continue to monitor MOE, MOH, various international school and the JRCS policies, and will update our policy accordingly.
For those who the above does not apply to, please continue to join training as normal. We would encourage all parents to indicate their child’s availability on TeamSnap.
TRAINING FEES DUE FOR 1st TERM 2020
Training fees for Term 3 are now due. To check how much you owe for your child, use TeamSnap and select their name under their team under My Teams on your dashboard page, and then select the Payments tab to see their listing and training fees due. The diagrams below will help you.
If you use the web version of TeamSnap, you will find a PayPal link on the Payments tab to make payment easier for you. Please note that the PayPal link can only be found in the web version of TeamSnap, and does not show on the mobile app version.
Alternatively, you can pay by bank transfer. Bank details are included below. A quick reminder for those paying by bank transfer – PLEASE ENSURE TO ADD A REFERENCE TO YOUR CHILD’S NAME AND TEAM. THIS AVOIDS ISSUES OF PAYMENTS BEING UNASSIGNED.
Please note that on your TeamSnap “home page”, it will show that you have “No Invoices Due” – this refers to the registration fee you paid when your child first joined the Academy. You need to select your child’s name under their team (under My Teams), and then the Payments tab, to find this term’s Training Fees.
LATE PAYMENT CHARGES
A 15% charge will be added to all unpaid fees after the 4th week of term – for this term, the late fee will come into effect on Friday 7th February 2020.

THE FRY GROUP WORKSHOP: WHERE SHOULD I RETIRE?
|Date:||Wednesday, 19 February 2020|
|Time:||Breakfast, Lunch and Evening Sessions Available|
|Location:||The Fry Group, 6 Battery Road #16-04/05, Singapore 049909|
One of the most frequently asked questions of our Expatriate clients is “Where should I retire?”. Climate, language and low cost of living are often some of the first factors considered, however it is important to carefully consider the broader and long term implications including geo-political landscape, immigration and potential financial planning implications of your retirement destination.
This workshop will cover:
- The popular and some less well known global retirement destinations to consider
- Their residency and citizenship schemes
- The potential tax and financial planning considerations of each jurisdiction
- Some key tax considerations when leaving Singapore
- Changing your domicile/losing UK domicile status
Who should come? Anyone (particularly British Expats) close to retirement and considering retiring overseas.
Dominic Volek, Managing Partner, Henley & Partners Singapore
Peter Webb, International Tax Manager, The Fry Group
Light refreshments will be served and there will be plenty of opportunity for Q&A.
