TRAINING THIS WEEKEND
We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back to training this Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th January. Don’t forget that as we have entered a new year, and our new rugby year, all the squads have moved up an age group. For clarity, the squads and training times for this rugby year are:
SATURDAY
8:00AM to 9:00AM – U4 (born 2014 or later) and U5 (born 2013)
8:00AM to 9:30AM – U6 (born 2012), U7 (born 2011), U8 (born 2010), U9 (born 2009), U10 (born 2008)
9:15AM to 11:00AM – U11 (born 2007), U12 (born 2006) and U13 (born 2005)
10:45AM to 12:30PM – U14 (born 2004), U15 (born 2003) and U16/17 (born 2001 and 2002)
SUNDAY
9:00AM to 10:30AM – Touch U10 (born 2008 or later) and Touch U12 (born 2006 and 2007)
10:30AM to 12:00pm – Touch U14 (born 2004 and 2005) and Touch U18 (born 2003 or earlier)
THURSDAY
Mid week training will commence on Thursday 18th January from 5:30PM to 7:00PM for the U11 up. This session focuses on fitness and ball skills and is taken by our Head Coach, John Brake.

If you have left Singapore, or your child is just taking a break from the Academy this term, please don’t forget to drop a note to Sarah at info@sccrugbyacademy.com so we can update TeamSnap and the team lists.
TRAINING FEES DUE FOR 1st TERM 2018
Training fees for Term 1 are now due. To check how much you owe for your child, please go to their TeamSnap profile and select the Payments tab – fees due for this term are indicated there.
Please note that on your TeamSnap “home page”, it will show that you have no fees due for “Registration” – you paid this when your child first joined the Academy. You need to select your child’s team, and then the Payments tab, to find this term’s Training Fees.
LATE PAYMENT CHARGES
Please note that we have introduced a late payment charge. A 10% charge will be added to all unpaid fees after the 4th week of term – for this term, the late fee will come into effect on Friday 9th February 2018.
PAYPAL
We now accept PayPal through the TeamSnap application. Just go to the Payments tab on your child’s profile, and you will find the fee amount due and a link for PayPal if you would like to use this service. Please note that the PayPal link can only be found in the web version of TeamSnap, and does not show on the app version.
Alternatively, you can also pay by bank transfer. Details for a bank transfer are as follows:

DATE FOR THE DIARY: MCM STRAITS RUGBY 10s TOURNAMENT – 20th JANUARY 2018
The following age groups will be participating in the Marlborough College Malaysia 10s Tournament on 20th January 2018: U10, U11, U12, U14 and U16.
This will be the second weekend of a our rugby term. Please look out for communications from your coaches regarding the team and logistics.
There will be a bus departing from Dempsey to Marlborough on Saturday morning for those who like to book a slot. Places are limited to players plus one parent, and it will be $20 a seat. If you did not receive the email sent last term regarding booking seats on the bus, please let Sarah know at info@sccrugbyacademy.com.
DATE FOR THE DIARY: KL TIGERS TOURNAMENT – 21st and 22nd APRIL 2018
With the cancellation of the KL Saracens tournament, we will be organizing an Academy tour to the KL Tigers 10s tournament, which will be on the weekend of 21st and 22nd April (this is the first weekend of Term 2 2018).
We will be sending out the registration of interest email shortly, so please look out for it. Please note that this is an indication of interest only and does not guarantee a place on the squad – KL Tigers will confirm how many teams we can submit, and each squad is limited to 15 players. Also, the coaches will choose a squad from those who have indicated their interest on the basis of attendance and attitude at training sessions held.
All players who register interest must be fully registered members of the SCC Rugby Academy, and all training fees must be up-to-date.
